Job summary

AMD CG (Compute-Graphics) Performance and Power Engineering Team seeks an engineer to advance post-silicon power and performance optimization for AMD CG products, including discrete GPUs and APUs. You will contribute to test plans, measurement, and modeling to deliver high perf and low power for millions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors +5 years or Masters +3 years in Electronics/CE or CS.
  • Strong knowledge of power and performance optimization.
  • Experience with post-silicon characterization and debugging.
  • Proficiency with C/C++ and scripting languages.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (PowerBi, Excel, Python).

Responsibilities

  • Develop performance, power and perf/watt test plans for different usage scenarios (3D, compute, multimedia, AI).
  • Analyze interactions between power-management features and optimize configurations.
  • Develop post-Si power/performance models for key usage scenarios.
  • Support prototyping experiments for improving current and implementing new features that impact performance and power.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting system-level issues in test environments and platforms.
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement for post-silicon power and performance activities.
  • Participate in the product definition process.
