We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented post-secondary student to join our team for the summer as a Power BI Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity for a student to gain practical, hands-on experience in data analysis and business intelligence, building valuable skills throughout the summer term.

In this role, the successful candidate will assist in developing and designing Power BI reports to address key business needs while ensuring existing reports are accurate and operational.

The successful candidate will be required to work onsite at the North Bay, Ontario office, as this position does not offer remote work options.

Responsibilities

• Develop Power BI Reports: Assist in creating and designing Power BI reports to meet business requirements.
• Maintain Existing Reports: Ensure existing Power BI reports are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support report development and provide insights.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data sources.
• Documentation: Prepare guidelines explaining the report's purpose, main KPIs, logic, and other relevant details.
• Training & Support: Provide training and support to team members on using Power BI reports effectively.
  
  

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a College or University program and set to continue studies in the upcoming fall term.

The Candidate Should Have a Solid Understanding Of Power BI, Including Report Creation, Data Modeling, And DAX. They Should Be Able To Work Independently On Report Development And Maintenance Tasks. Examples Of Tasks Include

• Creating and managing relationships between tables in Power BI.
• Designing and customizing visuals (e.g., icons, tooltips).
• Setting up slicers and bookmarks to enhance report interactivity.
• Performing data clean-ups in Power Query to ensure data accuracy.
