Do you want to be at the forefront of transforming clinical pharmacy?
We are creating innovative pathways to develop clinical leaders, and we are now looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacists to join our expanding team. Due to internal promotions and the success of our new integrated training scheme for foundation pharmacists, we are offering opportunities in cross-sector roles, combining work in GP practices with hospital wards/departments, with future prospects to review sector-specific roles. These posts are patient-centered and will allow you to develop your clinical and technical skills in practice.
You will receive support from an educational supervisor, the pharmacy team, and peer support from other Foundation pharmacists. Successful applicants will be supported to complete the RPS Post Registration Foundation Training programme, which equips pharmacists with core skills through learning outcomes, including the independent prescribing qualification.
The NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate provides an integrated service to approximately 380,000 people, with a team of around 300 staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators. We pride ourselves on being a vibrant, welcoming, and friendly team committed to patient care and staff development.
The team works across hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and specialist teams. We value partnership working and collaborate with community pharmacy colleagues to deliver high-quality care. There are opportunities to participate in various projects and help shape the future of our pharmacy services.
Fife offers excellent transport links and is close to Scotland’s major cities, including Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth, and Glasgow.
Hospital or primary care experience is not essential, as training will be fully supported. The posts are also open to pharmacists undertaking their postgraduate foundation training year, who can start later this year.
