Why this role is important?
SUMMARY:

Responsible for organizing and delivering full-service retail postal services (courier items, postal boxes, money transfers, call-in parcels) to Shoppers Drug Mart customers, maximizing department revenue and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead by example, demonstrating our CORE Values among Post Office staff.
  • Interview and recommend final candidates for hiring.
  • Ensure Post Office cashiers comply with all Store Standards.
  • Train employees in job functions and provide ongoing coaching and instructions.
  • Assist with completing performance reviews of Post Office cashier staff in conjunction with the FSM.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided beyond expectations.
  • Ensure employees present a proper image to the public in accordance with the Uniform Policy.
LOSS PREVENTION:
  • Perform all loss prevention systems and procedures according to Standards.
  • Adhere to procedures regarding parcel checks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to think independently and make decisions when dealing with customer requests.
  • Ask the right questions to lead to appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to act upon tasks and goals outlined by management.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Retail and cash handling experience.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
