Job Description

Note: The ideal candidate should reside in the community. Applicants outside the community may be considered as needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Sell postal products and services to the business community and public
  2. Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications
  3. Provide customers with information and forms
  4. Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
  • Experience interacting with the public in retail or service environments, including sales and cash transactions
  • Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
  • Physically able to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility for temporary, on-call work
