Qualifications

  • Candidates for the CFA Program must be administered by the CFA Institute.
  • Strong service orientation with excellent attention to detail.

What is the opportunity?

As a Portfolio Management Assistant /Associate with RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel Inc., you will be responsible for working with Investment Counsellors on portfolio management work as well as for maintaining up-to-date knowledge on investment solutions as well as tax and financial planning issues. You will draft Investment Policy Statements as well as some client correspondence. A key element is also the preparation of investment review presentations.

What will you do?

  • Assist with the modelling, monitoring, and rebalancing of portfolios as well as inputting trades when required

  • Maintain all administrative functions such as database management, mass mailings, preparation of presentation/meeting materials, correspondence, managing reports, spreadsheets, and completion of special projects

  • Proactively identify client annual reviews and compile manager review schedules

  • Ensure compliance to client mandate and portfolio models

  • Track and manage cash holdings and balances

  • Provide training/mentorship to new employees as required and back-up to other positions as needed

  • Respond to various client inquiries
