Portfolio Director - Ontario|Central Canada

Location - Toronto, ON

The Minerals and Metals (M&M) Division of AtkinsRéalis is currently seeking a Portfolio Director, Geotechnical, Environment and Water for Central of Canada. Leveraging your leadership experience and market knowledge, you will be responsible for developing a strategic approach to markets, clients, and associated projects, bringing forward the best solutions to reliably and predictably increase market share in this region of Canada.

Reporting to the Vice President of Minerals and Metals North America, the Portfolio Director is responsible for developing a strategic approach to markets, customers and associated projects, driving the best solutions to increase market share in a reliable and predictable manner. In order to achieve the objectives, the Portfolio Director will work in concert with other groups in the organization on market development strategy, bid preparation and project performance monitoring. The Portfolio Director will be responsible for a portfolio of $30M to $50M.

Your role within the team
  • Growth and Sales:
    • Maintains a highly visible presence with clients in the portfolio.
    • Actively participates in the market development and execution strategy to ensure growth in volume and profitability.
    • Oversees framework contracts and monitors project execution associated with the client portfolio.
    • Conducts bid monitoring, orchestrates decisions regarding opportunities to be pursued, develops strategies and leads the development of bid responses.
  • Project implementation and execution:
    • Manages client relationships.
    • Leads internal meetings (kick-off meeting, progress tracking, milestones).
    • Validates change requests/contract modifications.
    • Supports the management of claims files.
    • Manage risks and unexpected expenses.
  • Operational Execution:
    • Manages project portfolio to meet overall regional operational goals (monthly, quarterly, annual).
    • Maintains reasonable risk levels.
    • Facilitates the resolution of customer complaints.
    • Participates in monthly internal business unit meetings.
    • Delivers maximum operational efficiency while achieving growth objectives.
