About The Role

As a Restaurant Porter, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and an exceptional guest experience. Your responsibilities will include clearing and resetting tables, polishing wine glasses, assisting with food prep, and maintaining stock. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in hospitality.

This is a seasonal position, running until mid-October 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm welcome to all guests, ensuring a friendly and engaging tasting experience.
  • Prepare and expedite food orders efficiently.
  • Assist sales staff with clearing and resetting tableware and print materials.
  • Polish wine glasses to maintain a high standard of presentation.
  • Assess situations quickly and involve a manager in cases of customer complaints or concerns.
  • Assist in the setup and execution of special wine events and experiences.
  • Assist with daily opening and closing duties, maintaining a clean and organized tasting area.

  • Excellent communication, listening, and storytelling skills.
  • Enthusiasm for wine and the ability to create a fun, engaging guest experience.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without restriction.

Work Environment

  • A mix of indoor and outdoor work, often in warm summer temperatures (up to 40°C).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (cases of wine) and stand for extended periods.
  • Requires climbing small sets of stairs, bending, and stooping as needed.
  • A fast-paced environment, especially during peak season.
