Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a Porter to join our facilities team. You will perform cleaning tasks in designated areas of a building, including dusting, dust mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, vacuuming carpets, and emptying waste receptacles.

The position offers an hourly wage of $22, with final compensation based on skills and experience. You should have previous cleaning experience, be able to communicate clearly, be reliable and a team player, and be able to operate cleaning equipment.

Job description

The hourly wage rate for this position is $22 . Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. How You Will Make An Impact

You will be responsible for cleaning tasks in designated areas of a building, including dusting, dust mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying, and cleaning ashtrays and emptying and cleaning waste receptacles and vacuuming carpets.

As a Porter, You Will

• Perform general custodial requirements and any related duties as assigned (duties include but are not limited to use of various cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping floors, emptying waste receptacles and other common areas).
• Restock single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins.
• Complete periodic equipment checks.
• Observe/practice all health & safety procedures and policies

About You

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must be reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player, willing to assist as needed
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position
