Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a reliable Porter to perform custodial duties in designated areas of a building. You will dust, mop, clean washrooms, empty waste receptacles and vacuum carpets to maintain a clean environment.

Role requires effective communication, reliability, and ability to use cleaning equipment. This position supports a team-focused culture with health and safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial/cleaning roles is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial tasks using cleaning equipment, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying waste receptacles and cleaning common areas.
• Restock soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins in dispensers.
• Complete periodic equipment checks.
• Follow health and safety procedures and policies.

Job description

The hourly wage rate for this position is $22. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. How You Will Make An Impact

You will be responsible for cleaning tasks in designated areas of a building, including dusting, dust mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying, and cleaning ashtrays and emptying and cleaning waste receptacles and vacuuming carpets.

As a Porter, You Will

• Perform general custodial requirements and any related duties as assigned (duties include but are not limited to use of various cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping floors, emptying waste receptacles and other common areas).
• Restock single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins.
• Complete periodic equipment checks.
• Observe/practice all health & safety procedures and policies

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must be reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player, willing to assist as needed
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position
