Job summary

Norda Stelo Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to design port structures, prepare plans and specifications, and work within multidisciplinary teams on diverse shore infrastructure projects in Canada.

The role involves field surveys, inspections, and occasional site supervision. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 7+ years of port experience, English fluency, and strong knowledge of structural design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or equivalent licensure.
• Experience on port infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with commonly used structural design software.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design port structures and prepare technical plans and specifications.
• Conduct studies related to project feasibility and design.
• Contribute to proposal preparation.
• Perform field surveys.
• Conduct inspections of works in progress.
• Occasionally provide construction site supervision.
• Perform other related duties.

• Design structures and prepare technical plans and specifications for various projects involving the construction or rehabilitation of port infrastructure, including sheet pile wharves, combi-wall structures, piles, concrete caissons, dolphins, mooring bollards, scour protection, fender systems, and other port structures.

• Conduct studies;

• Contribute to the preparation of proposals;

• Perform field surveys;

• Conduct inspections;

• Occasionally provide construction site supervision;

• Perform other related duties.

Our essentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience;

• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);

• Experience working on port infrastructure projects;

• Knowledge of commonly used structural design software;

• Fluency in spoken and written English;

• Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
