Job summary

British Swim School - South Orlando is looking for a Deck Ambassador to join our Customer Experience team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for families and managing student transitions during swim classes. You will also support swimmer safety and promote positive relationships.

We offer flexible schedules with competitive pay at $14.00 per hour and a fun, mission-driven culture.

The Position

As a Deck Ambassador on the Customer Experience team, you manage the all‑important first impression and keep warm relationships with families and students throughout their time as part of our extended swim family.

Your Typical Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome new families and get them off to a good start – get to know the students and their parents.
• Set up the pool deck area before each shift.
• Register students for class and manage them in and out of the water between classes.
• Celebrate the move‑up/graduation process, birthdays, and other milestones at the pool.
• Post photos and videos to social media in a fun and personal way.
• Assist parents with questions about their schedule and their children’s progress.
• Promote referrals for new enrollments.
• Support the aquatics team by actively participating in swimmer safety and assisting when needed during lessons.
• Test the water to ensure water quality and temperature.

• An enthusiastic, warm, but assertive personality who loves talking to people and building positive relationships.
• An understanding of the importance of a good structure and a willingness to enforce essential safety procedures in a fun and gentle manner.
• The ability to multi‑task and maintain a sense of fun.
• A genuine desire to help reduce drownings for both children and adults.
