Position Description:
  1. The Polysomnographic Technologist ensures all procedures related to diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnographic services are performed accurately and safely.
  2. Watch these videos to understand the role:
  • You will receive 240 hours of practical and theoretical training.
  • Responsibilities include direct patient contact, explaining procedures, setting up for overnight studies, addressing questions, troubleshooting technical issues, and monitoring sleep studies overnight.
  • Position Qualifications:
    • High School diploma required; BSc in Sciences, Psychology, Biology, Neuroscience, or an allied health degree preferred.
    • Ability to work overnight shifts, typically 10 hours per shift, 3-4 nights per week, including weekends.
    • Flexible to work up to 40 hours per week.
    • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills; ability to work independently.
    • Commitment to high-quality patient care.
    • A Vulnerable Sector Check is required within the first month of employment.
