Polyolefins Technology Engineer - Relocate to Saudi Arabia

Join us to apply for the Polyolefins Technology Engineer - Relocate to Saudi Arabia role at Aramco.

We are seeking an experienced Polyolefins Technology Engineer with extensive knowledge of polyolefin operations and technologies to join our Downstream Process Engineering Division under the Process & Control Systems Department.

Our division is responsible for developing polyolefins technologies, providing technical support to chemical operations, and supporting new project development and evaluation, including benchmarking the company's polyolefins assets.

As a Polyolefins Technology Engineer, you will perform simulation and modeling (e.g., energy/material balances, utilities, catalysts, effluents, specifications) of polyolefins operations and provide technical support for capital projects at various stages (pre-feasibility, feasibility, engineering).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve best practices in polyolefins facilities design and operation.
  • Assess emerging polyolefins technologies and support research and development.
  • Evaluate the economics of polyolefins projects.
  • Provide troubleshooting and develop innovative process solutions with risk considerations.
  • Develop a knowledge sharing network.
  • Compare and evaluate different polyolefin products and processes.
  • Mentor developing specialists and engineers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; MS is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in petrochemicals, with expertise in polyolefins operations and technology management.
  • Knowledge of HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP processes (Gas, Slurry) and catalysts; familiarity with licensors is a plus.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
