Job description

On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Policy & Digital Transformation Adviso r for a six (6) month engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. This client is pleased to offer a remote work model for this position

Policy & Digital Transformation Advisor Job Details

  • Develop a collaborative target operating model framework and standard approach that can be used for any digital health and technology service and apply framework to services as directed.
  • Conduct optimization reviews on Technology Services and Customer and Information Services projects and operational initiatives to identify overlapping functions including, but not limited to policy, guidelines and standards management, audit support and organizational risk management.
  • Establish Processes, Guidelines, Policies and Procedures (PGPP) Governance, Frameworks & Centralized Repository :
  • Create a PDHIS PPGP Strategy, Framework and Plan to support the centralization and management of PPGP assets organization wide
  • Engage with key stakeholders to create a PGPP centralized org. inventory of current assets.
  • Establish process and document management protocols for PGPP development, review, approval, and updates aligned with the Org Policy Management Office requirements and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other Policy Management Offices
  • Ensure policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines are well documented and in place to gather stakeholder requirements and feed into governance structures (such as developing required governance templates or tools)
  • Establish a framework to assess whether PGPP governance system and associated process and practices are operating effectively
  • On-going Org Policy, Procedures, Protocols and Guidelines Development & Support :
  • Tracking of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines status from development to publication
  • Review of PGPP assets prior to submission to the various committees and Org Policy Office to ensure alignment with standards and quality requirements
  • Serve as the single point of contact between project arm and the Org Policy Office and other committees that support policy and standards development, approval and / or publication
  • Engagement with teams to develop various policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines spanning project, as required

Policy & Digital Transformation Advisor Mandatory Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of health information technology functions and structures, including digital & virtual health advancements, cloud and infrastructure
  • Experience working in BC Health Authority environments and other health system organizations from across Canada and internationally
  • Experienced in design, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policy and procedures frameworks, guidelines, standards, and policy development.
  • Experienced in digital and information technology organization design, processes and policies
  • Experienced in digital and information technology governance and decision making processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead a diverse stakeholder group through complex discussions, build consensus, and negotiate solutions
  • Experience in concise and persuasively writing policy and a variety of documents and content.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal considerations relevant to policies.
  • Exceptional ability to determine policy oversights and omissions.
  • Proven ability to utilize, adapt and embrace new technologies, including Office 365 and other database / software required by the role

Policy & Digital Transformation Advisor Nice-To-Have Skills

  • Experience working within a British Columbian Health Authority
  • Experience in applied research or data management may be advantageous.
  • Experience in implementing organizational structure and key functions for large enterprises required, and support of mergers and acquisitions is desired

Policy & Digital Transformation Advisor Assignment Length

Six (6) month contract with the potential for three (3) extensions of six (6) months each.

Main office located in Burnaby, British Columbia. Consultants may work remotely within Canada but there will be occasional need for an on-site present at the Burnaby or Vancouver offices.
