Under the direction of the Director, the Policy Analyst – Economic Development, oversees the coordination of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc (NTI)’s interest in all areas of pertaining to economic and Inuit Business development, including but not limited to research, funding, planning and advocacy. You will be responsible for NTI’s economic development portfolio, including oversight of the Inuit Firm Registry, the Policy Analyst – Economic Development position entails being aware of the economic development of Nunavut Inuit.
To be invited for an interview; spoken and written Inuktitut/Inuinnaqtun language is desirable and the willingness to learn is required. Have good knowledge of the Nunavut Agreement, NTI’s mission, of economic and inuit business development trends and issues. Knowledge of project planning and programing evaluation theories and principles, including scheduling, cost estimation, financial management and project delivery. Good Knowledge of initiatives, programs, policies related to economic and inuit business development in Nunavut and offered by municipal, territorial and federal governments.
Preference will be given to Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.
Starting salary is $133,649.00 per annum (commensurate with experience) a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.
Housing allowance of $35,865.00
