Job summary

A community-focused organization is looking for a full-time Policy Advisor based in Lillooet, BC. This role entails leading the policy cycle while ensuring that all work embodies St’át’ímc knowledge and community needs. The ideal candidate should have a post-secondary degree and 3-5+ years of policy experience within Indigenous governance. Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of progressive policy experience within Indigenous governance or related field.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Ability to undergo a criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the policy cycle from issue identification to implementation planning.
  • Research legislation and jurisdictional matters to inform recommendations.
  • Prepare briefing notes, options papers, and decision materials.
