Summary:

We are seeking an energetic PMA (Preventative Maintenance Agreement) Sales Representative with a proven sales record and understanding of fire alarm, security, and telephone access systems. Responsibilities include securing new business through cold calling, field sales, and marketing, nurturing relationships with key contacts, upselling service agreements, and creating accurate sales proposals. The role requires addressing customer concerns and demonstrating a deep understanding of Mircom's products and market trends. The position is based in Edmonton, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and obtain new sales for PMA service and inspections.
  2. Develop and upsell accounts by reviewing customer history and proactively contacting existing customers.
  3. Target new business opportunities via industry contacts and expertise.
  4. Establish relationships with building owners, property management companies, prospects, and industry insiders through cold calling, field sales, and marketing.
  5. Upsell and maintain service agreements with existing customers.
  6. Develop solutions using Mircom products to meet customer needs.
  7. Formulate pricing strategies based on market and customer insights.
  8. Sell new service agreements and meet with customers to understand needs.
  9. Create proposals and quotes with technical accuracy and within pricing guidelines.
  10. Maintain client rapport and respond promptly to needs and concerns.
  11. Present and demonstrate Mircom services and market information to customers.
  12. Acquire and maintain knowledge of all product lines and services.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Proven B2B sales experience with prospecting skills, including cold calling.
  • Self-motivated and highly driven.
  • Aptitude for learning and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player willing to travel for customer calls.
  • Advanced sales skills with the ability to develop customer solutions.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Minimum 3+ years of technical sales experience, preferably in fire & life safety industry.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Post-secondary education in sales or a technical field.
  • Experience in preparing detailed quotes and knowledge of fire alarm and related codes is an asset.
  • Must possess a car and a valid driver’s license.
