Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Brossard is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician – Material Handling to perform on-site preventive maintenance and repairs on the mechanical parts of material handling equipment at customer sites.

You will identify issues, document work orders, and collaborate with customers and operators, using hoists, forklifts, cranes, and power tools to verify repairs and ensure system reliability. The role may require after-hours or shift work to support customer needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience contributing to a service-oriented environment.
• Motivated, energetic, and strong written and oral communication skills.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to work after-hours and/or participate in shiftwork as required to support customer needs.
• Class D license required.
• Must have experience operating, servicing, and/or maintaining material handling equipment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Performing all levels of Preventative Maintenance services on a scheduled basis in a professional manner.
• Identify issues with malfunctioning equipment, analyze the root causes, and devise appropriate solutions for repairs, replacements, or adjustments.
• Identify and report on additional items identified that require follow-up service work by a service technician.
• Ensuring the accurate capture and reporting of PM service checklist, inspections, and work order information for the benefit of customer reporting.
• Work directly with the customers and equipment operators.
• Utilize hoists, forklifts, power tools, cranes, loaders, vehicles, and manual tools for operational tasks.
• Operate machinery to evaluate its performance and verify the effectiveness of repairs or adjustments made.
• Other duties as assigned.
