UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. is hiring a part-time sorter in Ajax, Ontario. The PM Sorter will sort/stock packages and load/unload them into UPS delivery vehicles, in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Work is Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, totaling 3-5 hours per day with a minimum of 25 hours per week. The role offers on-site work at 575 Harwood Ave N, Ajax, with benefits including tuition reimbursement, paid training, weekly pay, and extensive paid vacation after milestones, along

Job Description:

The PM Sorter position is a physical fast-paced and labor-intensive role within a warehouse environment that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.

Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent

Work Location: 575 Harwood Ave N Ajax ON L1Z 0K4

Workdays: Monday to Friday-5:00PM to 10:00 PM

Shift Duration: 3-5 hours per day *(Flexibility is required with both the start and finish times).

All Applicants must work a minimum 25 hrs/ week

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers
• Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods
• Sort and stock packages based on postal codes

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg)
• Full availability to work Monday to Saturday
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
• Warehouse experience (would be considered an asset)

Compensation and Benefits:

• $18.50/hr. / automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement.
• Unionized position with automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement (top rate of $36.53/hr. after 48 months of service
• Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility, program approval, and satisfactory academic performance)

EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month) A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS)
