Job summary

MEPIS in Ontario is seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer to join our engineering team, leveraging foundational design experience to take on more responsibility across Healthcare, Higher Education, Science & Technology, K-12, and Residential projects.

Ideal candidates will have deep knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems, perform modeling and analysis, coordinate with architects and clients, and contribute to code-compliant, well-documented drawings from concept to final design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design and drafting experience in MEP disciplines, especially plumbing and fire protection.
• Peer review of systems designed by others.
• Modeling and analysis of plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Interface with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients.
• Development of initial plumbing and fire protection concepts and final designs.

Responsibilities

• Final design of plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Provide preliminary calculations for projects.
• Draft project specifications to accompany design drawings.
• Survey and evaluate existing plumbing and fire protection conditions.
