Job summary

Merit for Apprenticeship is seeking an Apprentice position focused on plumbing and related trades. You will train alongside Journeypersons, perform tasks like piping, cutting, trenching, and measuring, and log your apprenticeship hours under supervision.

You will report to your supervisor, adhere to safety policies, and complete required in-school schooling and hours within the agreed timeframe. This is a hands-on training role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a pre-apprenticeship program or similar experience.
• Driver’s License in good standing.
• General MML in-house training as specified for Apprentices and Journeyperson.
• Note: these must be completed within 2 years of hiring unless directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Apprentices and Journeyperson on training path and safety.
• Duties include plumbing, pipe fitting, cutting, coring, trenching, measuring and layout.
• Log apprenticeship hours and maintain records.
• Carry out other field duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Will work to ensure safe, efficient project completion.
