We are seeking a Plumber for our various remote Canadian project locations!

Job Requirements:

MATRIX is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Plumber who is team-oriented, adaptable, highly motivated, and has an acute attention to detail. You will play a key role at our remote camps by supporting the team to complete construction of these camps. This position reports to the Team Lead and/or Camp Manager. The role involves working in various locations at our remote camps, both in set-up and maintenance roles. This is a fly-in/fly-out position.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform plumbing and general maintenance to gas appliances and lines.
  2. Maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, drinking water treatment, and distribution systems.
  3. Practice and promote company environmental, health, safety, and operational policies and procedures.
  4. Maintain a daily log of activities and system logs as required.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, which may include duties outside the trade(s).
  6. Work cooperatively as a member of the team.
  7. Ensure safety issues are reported and promptly addressed.
  8. Demonstrate safety leadership within a team environment and promote environmental awareness.
  9. Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties.
  10. Other duties as assigned from time to time by the company.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
  1. Minimum of 2-3 years working in a construction or camp environment.
  2. Certified Journeyman Plumber (Red Seal).
  3. Gasfitter "B" ticket.
  4. HVAC and/or Refrigeration experience or certification is a definite asset.
  5. Solid verbal and written communication skills in English.
  6. Ability to work a rotation schedule and adapt to a dynamic schedule.
  7. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
  8. Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  9. Able to walk and stand for long periods and perform physical labor.
  10. Ability to maintain high performance over 10-12 hour shifts.
Preferred Licensing & Certifications:
  1. Standard First Aid Certification.
  2. WHMIS Certification.
  3. Previous experience working in remote camp settings.
  4. Proficient in all aspects of plumbing repair and replacement.
