Midlite Powerline Construction is seeking a Journeyperson Powerline Technician to join field teams across Western Canada, including Alberta. You will perform construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground powerlines, substations, and related infrastructure.
The role requires reading drawings, adhering to safety standards, and collaborating with crews in outdoor environments. A valid Class 3 license and safety certifications are assets; travel and extended hours may be required.

Positions available in multiple locations across Western Canada . The PLT will perform construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground powerlines, substations, and related infrastructure. Day‑to‑day tasks include installing, removing, and replacing poles, conductors, insulators, and hardware; stringing and sagging lines; and performing switching, grounding, and line isolation procedures as required. The PLT will inspect and test equipment, identify faults, and complete corrective work in accordance with safety regulations, company standards, and applicable codes. The role also involves working with crews and supervisors to plan work, operate and maintain tools and equipment, complete job documentation, and participate actively in safety meetings and training.
