Our Client is an established clean-tech company developing advanced solutions to help accelerate the global transition to a low-carbon economy. As part of their continued digital transformation, they’re looking for a System Engineer to support ongoing improvements to a cloud-based PLM platform used across critical departments.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity. The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Canada. You’ll join the Digital Business team, supporting cross-functional stakeholders in engineering, manufacturing, and R&D. This is a technically diverse environment offering opportunities to work with modern enterprise tools and contribute to impactful, sustainability-driven projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end support and continuous improvement for the enterprise PLM platform.
- Analyze investigation reports (IRs), develop corrective actions, and implement updates in the PLM system.
- Assist in PLM system enhancement initiatives and clarify business requests.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to validate proposed system changes.
- Maintain professional, proactive communication with PLM stakeholders.
- Support related modules (Quality, Product Data Management) and contribute to best practice documentation.
- Plan and design PLM workflows, conduct gap analyses, and prototype solutions.
- Manage PLM integrations via RESTful APIs with systems such as ERP, MES, CAD, and analytics platforms.
- Perform database support tasks: backups, performance tuning, ETL, access control, etc.
- Support and improve Power Platform applications tied to PLM processes.
- Contribute to the development of technical standards for integrations and documentation.
Mandatory Requirements:- Deep experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Hands-on experience with Aras PLM and/or PTC Windchill (Venture) strongly preferred.
- Prior involvement in PLM migrations is a significant advantage.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing environments; large-scale manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with product design, build processes, and review cycles.
- 3+ years supporting enterprise PLM platforms (support, development, architecture, or administration).
- Graduate degree in engineering with 3+ years relevant experience, or undergraduate degree with 4+ years of experience.
- Strong understanding of PLM-related concepts: CAPA, FMEA, NCR, Change Management, etc.
- Experience with integration technologies (RESTful APIs, Azure Gateway, Logic Apps, .NET).
- Competence with Microsoft Azure (development, databases, containers, etc.).
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and delivery tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous learning mindset.
Nice-to-have:- PEng designation or eligibility for registration.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Alignment with Lean Principles and interest in sustainability-focused innovation.
