Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive Platform Specialist to join the TDS Data Platform team. The ideal candidate will support engineering efforts in navigating regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with audit and risk standards, and managing cross-functional initiatives, policies, and deliverables.

Success in this role requires:

• Confidence in navigating complex processes and working independently on initiatives requiring specialist knowledge
• Ability to develop trust across teams, provide guidance, and influence various stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and quick learning of technical details related to the data platform
• Drive to implement changes and shape the future operations of the TDS Data Platform

Key Responsibilities

• Support audit and compliance activities, ensuring risks are identified, tracked, and mitigated
• Interpret governance standards and policies, translating them into actionable tasks for engineering teams
• Develop deep understanding of platform applications, configurations, and workflows for improvements
• Assist in implementation and post-implementation activities
• Collaborate with audit and risk teams to ensure controls are documented and met
• Coordinate with stakeholders to execute platform initiatives smoothly
• Lead or facilitate action plans addressing performance and governance issues
• Maintain clear communication and updates across teams
• Manage relationships with enterprise and governance partners
• Identify risks and provide guidance on complex situations
• Enhance technical and business knowledge continuously
• Drive operational excellence aligned with governance requirements

Experience and Education

• Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate; Graduate degree is an asset
• 7+ years relevant experience
• Experience in ITIL, cloud, data domains is an asset
• Experience working with audit and controls teams is an asset
• Knowledge of Agile and SDLC
