Platform Ops Specialist, Cloud

As a Platform Ops Specialist, you configure, administer and upgrade cloud services based on the organization's needs. You analyze issues related to IT deliveries, rollouts, controls and quality assurance. You support the more experienced professionals in your unit and help prepare opinions and implementation plans in accordance with your discipline's rules. As part of its digital strategy, Desjardins is transforming its development approach, and our team is responsible for supporting and maintaining a cloud platform and services. This includes an application platform (PaaS) with VMware Tanzu Application Service technology based on the Cloud Foundry (Tanzu by Broadcom) and Microsoft Azure managed services. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Handle user requests to integrate their applications into the cloud
• Apply the team's methods and processes to support and develop the platform and services
• Be responsible for ensuring that changes to ServiceNow (our IT services management system) are open, approved and documented before taking action
• Help develop and optimize procedures
• Help develop and implement objectives, solutions and action plans
• Analyze data, diagnose issues, make recommendations and draft relevant documentation
• Help with PI planning for your field of expertise
• Serve as a technology platform operations specialist

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience
• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
• Knowledge of French is required
• Proficiency in DevOps (Gitflow, CI/CD)
• Proficiency in IaC practice
• Knowledge of the Agile approach
• Knowledge of Linux
• Knowledge of Git, Concourse, Terraform, Vault, Bash, Shell and Python
• Knowledge of ITSM processes (incident and change management)
• Knowledge of Docker
• Expertise with the Azure cloud platform
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Available 24/7 as an on-call advisor with pay
