Location and Flexibility
This is a hybrid role requiring work from one of our offices in Vancouver, B.C., Durham, N.C., Charlottesville, V.A., Columbus, O.H., or Boston, M.A. Our Work From Near culture fosters in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with local and visiting team members.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate Full-Stack Developer responsible for building innovative and interactive web applications, implementing modern web trends, and ensuring platform accessibility and security. You will leverage your full-stack knowledge and proficiency in front-end frameworks to create user-centric applications.

Responsibilities

• Guide best practices around accessibility and modern web trends.
• Set up and utilize CI/CD tools to improve deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to and guide cross-organizational engineers in following platform-level design patterns.
• Mentor and coach product teams towards shared goals.
• Provide constructive feedback during difficult conversations.
• Identify obstacles to improve user experience and testing processes.
• Be self-aware of limitations, curious to learn, and receptive to feedback.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of web development experience with high-quality code from scratch.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript and Next.js.
• Understanding of back-end code, databases (SQL and NoSQL), security, and APIs.
• Experience implementing web security standards.
• Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, and serverless architecture.
• Track record of complex product delivery and system architecture design.
• Skilled in managing delivery, testing, and releases.
• Strong communication skills with teams and stakeholders.

Bonus Points

• Experience with automated testing and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with Vercel, GCP, Apigee, Firebase, and Firestore.

Annual Performance Bonus
Eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance. Salary ranges from $96,000 to $120,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
