Capstone IT Staffing is helping one of our premier clients to hire an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our team and help build scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure. This role involves architecting and maintaining our platforms across cloud infrastructure, data systems, automation pipelines, and observability tools.

This position is ideal for engineers who thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about automation, system health, and developer enablement.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deploy, configure, and manage MongoDB Atlas and Azure SQL databases, including backups, access control, and tuning.
• Administer Apache Kafka clusters (cloud and self-managed) with focus on topic management, security, and throughput.
• Improve and manage CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions) for secure, automated software delivery.
• Integrate and automate certificate management and renewal workflows to improve deployment reliability.
• Monitor certificate health and proactively address expiration issues through alerting and dashboards.
• Maintain and optimize container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Implement and operate monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / EFK, Datadog).
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps to improve developer experience and system resilience.
• Enforce security and governance best practices across platforms.
• Write scripts and implement automation to streamline operations and eliminate manual tasks.

Required :

10+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or similar infrastructure roles which includes hands on experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience with MongoDB Atlas and Azure SQL administration.

Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, including hands-on cluster management (Confluent or open-source).

Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Skilled in CI / CD systems and secure certificate / secret management.

Familiar with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / EFK).

Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.

Preferred :

Background in Software Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Solid understanding of distributed systems and platform architecture.
