Job summary

Hunter Bond partners with a leading systematic trading and technology firm to design, monitor, and scale platform infrastructure, including a Kubernetes-based orchestration layer for compute-intensive workloads.

You will enhance operational efficiency, develop CI/CD pipelines, create self-service workflows, and improve the developer and researcher experience across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (e.g., B.S./M.S.).
• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with Linux, Bash, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure automation/configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve scalable Linux compute platforms.
• Develop automation for provisioning, configuration management and infrastructure lifecycle.
• Build internal tooling and APIs to improve developer productivity.
• Drive observability across metrics, logs and tracing.
• Support large-scale server provisioning and platform operations.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to deliver resilient, high-performance infrastructure.
• Participate in incident response, continuous improvement and mentoring within the team.

You will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and scaling platform infrastructure - including the Kubernetes-based orchestration layer underpinning compute-intensive research and trading workloads.
