Job summary

Hunter Bond partners with a leading systematic trading and technology firm to design, monitor, and scale platform infrastructure in Montreal, including the Kubernetes-based orchestration layer for compute-intensive workloads.

You will build automation for provisioning and configuration, develop internal tooling, and drive observability across metrics, logs and tracing, collaborating with software engineering teams to deliver resilient, high-performance infrastructure and improve developer

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with system administration and troubleshooting (Linux, Bash, Containerization - Docker/Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure automation and configuration management experience (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve scalable Linux compute platforms.

• Build internal tooling and APIs to improve developer productivity.

You will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and scaling platform infrastructure - including the Kubernetes-based orchestration layer underpinning compute-intensive research and trading workloads. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the productivity and efficiency of teams by enhancing operational efficiency, developing CI/CD pipelines, creating self-service workflows, and directly improving the developer and researcher experience
