About the Position:

This is an entry-level, full-time utility position at a large flour milling plant in Port Colborne, Ontario. The successful candidate will undergo cross-training in operational roles to meet the needs of the plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Training will be provided; the candidate is expected to meet performance expectations within a reasonable timeframe.
• Maintain safety as a top priority in all tasks.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork.
• Monitor, operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Perform material handling and light maintenance duties.
• Adhere to safety protocols, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• Participate in all health, safety, and food safety training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work at heights, and to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and bend.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. / 22 kg.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, or wet conditions.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends.
• Good communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and perform tasks safely and independently.
• Competence with machinery, including troubleshooting operational issues.
• Basic computer skills, numeracy, and record-keeping abilities.

Education or Work Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a plant environment is advantageous.
