Job Summary : VSL Canada seeks an experienced Plant Services Manager to oversee the Plant team, manage maintenance of specialized equipment, and ensure operational efficiency, safety, and quality across projects.

Position Requirements :

  • Minimum 10 years in internal projects, with 5+ years in team management.
  • Proficient in hydraulic and mechanical equipment repairs, including launching gantry and post-tensioning equipment.
  • Experience in procurement and logistics.
  • Knowledge of Bouygues Construction QHSE standards.

Specific Duties :

  • Manage technical aspects of Plant and Equipment across projects.
  • Ensure production teams have access to well-maintained equipment.
  • Oversee organization, resource management, and QHSE standards of the Plant team.
  • Primarily based in Toronto, with initial and periodic site visits.
  • Supervise equipment preparation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Assist in technical solutions and equipment configuration.
  • Propose performance improvements.
  • Oversee repair, fabrication, procurement, and logistics activities.
  • Identify training needs and ensure skill development.
  • Organization Structure : Reports to Profit Centre Manager, supervises Plant Officer, Site Mechanics, Workshop Supervisors, Procurement Officer.
