Position Description

The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met or exceeded.

This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Lead and supervise production staff to ensure daily production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Develop and implement production schedules, optimizing production efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement measures to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, training, and development within the production team.

Experience

  • 5 – 10 years of experience within a print or packaging environment is required.
  • 5 years of experience within a plant management role is required.
  • Experience working with print press operators and print production personnel.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a strong emphasis on coaching and development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
