Job summary

ADM Vanscoy plant is seeking an entry-level Plant Operator to join our manufacturing team in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan. The role offers full-time, hourly compensation with opportunities to advance as you gain experience in a large lentil/pea processing facility.

Training will be provided; you will be cross-trained across operations to support plant needs. You will work in various conditions, with shift work, overtime, and weekend duties as required.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions, and perform tasks safely and independently.
• Ability to work from heights and in positions (standing, sitting, kneeling, crawling, bending).
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, or wet conditions.
• Shift work, overtime, and weekends required.
• Basic computer skills, numeracy and record accuracy.
• There is room for advancement in this role.

Responsibilities

• Training will be provided and the successful candidate will meet expectations within a reasonable period.
• Cross-trained in all operational positions to facilitate operational needs.
• Candidate will progress toward an Operator position; must be competent with machinery and troubleshoot safely.
• Includes general sanitation duties following GMPs for food safety programs.
• Adhere to Safety Rules, GMP, HACCP and Food Safety protocols.
• Duties include material handling and light maintenance.
