Overview

Based in the Hamilton (Te Rapa) Agritrade Time Capsule Factory, reporting to our Production Manager you'll be part of our small close knit Time Capsule team of 3, you'll enjoy all the benefits of a larger team with over 14 team members on site in other areas. You'll get an opportunity to build great relationships and share some friendly banter with others on site.

You'll be a team player, have a strong work ethic, be ready to learn and you'll be willing to follow instructions and abide by set processes.

Responsibilities
  • Measure and dispense production ingredients in the mixing room as per detailed instructions.
  • Load completed product into factory machines using equipment provided.
  • Operate PLC controlled machinery (extruders and waxers) to manufacture finished products (Time Capsule boluses) in adherence to the GMP (Goods Manufacturing Practices) standards.
  • Maintain product quality and optimum utilisation of plant machinery in order to achieve set production targets in accordance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing and waxing process and visually inspect semi-finished and finished product in line with Quality Assurance.
  • Pack finished products into boxes, applying date and batch stickers and completing required documentation.
  • Assist other team members with their daily tasks including assisting with preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping, you won't be afraid of a broom!
Skills and experience
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment would be preferred however not mandatory; if you have the right attitude, we can provide all the required training.
  • Good physical fitness as you will be on your feet for most of the day and be required to complete many manual handling tasks.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and build effective working relationships with team members from various cultures.
