Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in Miramichi, NB is seeking a Plant Operator to operate PITs and loaders, move and palletize merchandise, and support production with a steady material flow. You will monitor stockpiles and ensure safe operation of equipment. The role may include Order Filler and Checker duties to maintain efficient process flow.

Strong safety awareness and experience with heavy equipment are essential. This is a full-time, on-site position in Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and front-end loaders.
• Ability to move, stack and count merchandise, load/unload trucks.
• Comfort with heavy equipment and safety protocols.

Plant Operator

Chez Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, nous cherchons sans relâche à repousser les limites de la performance de culture.

The Plant Operator is responsible for operating Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), front end loaders or other equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, count merchandise, move around finished palleted goods including loading/unloading trucks and flatbeds, prepares organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader, pushes or relocates piles to ensure segregation of materials.

Supplies production with a continuous supply of material.

Monitors the stockpiles for excessive heat, turns stockpiles, extinguishes small fires and ensures the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use.

The Plant Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties
