Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre. Budgetary responsibility: $8,000,001 +. Tasks: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments. Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning. Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions. Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions. Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions. Oversee the preparation of reports. Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Negotiate business contracts. Advise senior management. Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts. Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls. Evaluate daily operations . Direct and control daily operations . Supervision: 3-4 people.
