We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager – Supply Chain & Operations for one of our valued clients in the manufacturing sector . This is an excellent opportunity to lead full-cycle plant operations, optimize supply chain functions, and foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Position Summary
The Plant Manager will oversee all operational aspects of manufacturing facility, including production, supply chain, staffing, maintenance, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily plant operations including production, procurement, scheduling, inventory, and maintenance
- Align supply chain strategies with production goals to ensure operational excellence
- Supervise and mentor a cross-functional team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff
- Monitor and improve KPIs to drive productivity and reduce waste
- Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
- Work closely with leadership on budgeting, planning, and forecasting
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production and logistics workflows
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure timely material availability
- Develop and implement employee training and development programs
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of plant or operations management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing both production and supply chain functions
- In-depth understanding of supply chain, logistics, production workflows, and inventory control
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP / MRP systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering , or a related field is an asset
