SUMMARY

Directs the activities of each department through supervisors, who are responsible for producing effective results within their areas of responsibility to ensure optimum product availability and line efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Reviews and checks operation of the plant to meet OHSA regulations.
  2. Runs the plant on a cost-effective basis and keeps subordinates informed of the financial health of the plant.
  3. Conducts staff meetings to learn and solve problems, listen to suggestions for improvement, and establish goals.
  4. Conducts HS&E meetings to execute plant safety to all levels of employees.
  5. Participates in local Plant Managers' meetings and attends community activities to enhance Company image in the area.
  6. Approves daily, monthly, and annual reports and bid comparisons, status changes of employees, and process changes in technical improvements.
  7. Prepares, reviews, and controls plant budget, and executes AFE's.
  8. Makes recommendations on improvements that will increase earnings and reduce costs.
  9. Proposes Company policy that will lead the plant administration in a good manner.
  10. Recommends proper approaches to keep contractors performing well in maintenance and engineering.
  11. Recommends proper workforce for special projects assigned to plant personnel.
  12. Ensures quality goals are met.
  13. Maintains accurate production records and goals.
  14. Maintains labor, equipment costs, and materials to ensure continued production within projected budgets.
  15. Performs special projects as assigned and other coordinating activities as required to operate the plant on a cost-effective basis.

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. BS degree in Engineering or comparable experience.
  2. Minimum ten years of progressive experience in PVC injection molding, with at least 5 years' experience in a management role.
  3. Demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities and effective management skills.
  4. Must be able to effectively communicate in a written and verbal manner.
