Job description

Adecco is actively seeking a Plant Manager to join our client's team in the advanced manufacturing and sustainable energy sector. This remote, full-time role offers a competitive salary of $150,000 CAD per year and the opportunity to lead and shape the operations of a high-impact production facility.

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of plant operations-including safety, performance, budgeting, and team development. You'll work cross-functionally with project and corporate teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. This is an ideal position for a strategic and inclusive leader passionate about operational excellence and sustainability.

  • Pay Rate : $150k / year.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead day-to-day plant operations with responsibility for safety, quality, cost, and team leadership.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams and Corporate Functions to ensure full operational readiness.
  • Establish and maintain strong relations with authorities and local stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and profitability.
  • Ensure EHS compliance and champion a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial performance of the plant.
  • Partner with HR to build a high-performing operations team and manage employee relations.
  • Develop and implement training and operational procedures.
  • Ensure team alignment with our client's Code of Conduct, values, and business principles.

Requirements :

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in plant or manufacturing operations, preferably within large organizations.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills; fluency in English is required.
  • Deep understanding of EHS principles and commitment to sustainable operations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Willingness to travel and engage with global and local teams.
  • Inclusive leadership style with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Results-oriented and capable of setting ambitious goals for the team.
