Job description

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our cleint's manufacturing facility in London, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate all plant operations including production, quality control, maintenance, safety, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement production plans that meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations (OHSA, WSIB, etc.).
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
  • Manage budgets and control operational costs while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee capital improvement projects and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to improve employee engagement and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in plant or operations management in a heavy industrial environment (e.g., steel, automotive, foundry, mining, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office Suite.
