We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our cleint's manufacturing facility in London, ON.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and coordinate all plant operations including production, quality control, maintenance, safety, and logistics.
- Develop and implement production plans that meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations (OHSA, WSIB, etc.).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
- Manage budgets and control operational costs while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee capital improvement projects and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to improve employee engagement and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer quality requirements.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and forecasting.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in plant or operations management in a heavy industrial environment (e.g., steel, automotive, foundry, mining, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office Suite.
