Job summary

TreeHouse Foods in Georgetown, ON seeks a Plant Manager to provide overall leadership and accountability for plant operations, with a strong focus on safety, quality, customer service and productivity. You will partner with the site leadership team to drive engagement and operational excellence.

The role requires five years of leadership in production or food manufacturing, knowledge of Lean practices and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial technology, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of leadership experience in a production or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience leading in a union environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching and leadership to team members in safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost and equipment reliability to elevate performance.
  • Promote a safety culture and ensure adherence to all health and safety policies/protocols.
  • Lead the development, execution, and monitoring of the operations strategy to achieve safety, quality and performance goals.
  • Lead the continuous improvement program to deliver opportunities in cost, quality, food safety and service.
  • Utilize data including OEE, line speed targets, and efficiency data to improve productivity, uptime, and reliability.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with other functions and suppliers to optimize production and resource utilization.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plant-wide initiatives.

Job Description:

_ About the Role: _

We are seeking a Plant Manager for our Georgetown, ON facility, a leading manufacturer of quality crackers. This role is responsible for providing overall leadership and accountability for plant operations with a strong focus on delivering results. In partnership with the site leadership team, the Plant Manager will drive employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost management, and production performance to meet or exceed business objectives. The successful candidate will identify and implement strategic opportunities to improve operational efficiency, safety, throughput, productivity, schedule attainment, cost reduction, and product quality while fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.

_ You will add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: _

  • Providing coaching and leadership to team members in the areas of employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost, and equipment reliability to elevate the team’s performance.
  • Promoting a safety culture and ensuring adherence to all health and safety policies/protocols.
  • Leading the development, execution, and monitoring of the operations strategy in line with the overall operational objectives to achieve safety, quality and performance improvement and ensure achievement of manufacturing goals.
  • Leading the continuous improvement program to deliver opportunities in cost, quality, food safety and service.
  • Utilizing available data including OEE, line speed target, and efficiency and process data to continuously improve productivity, uptime, and reliability.
  • Coordinating manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plant-wide initiatives.

_ Important Details: _

_ · This is a full-time, on-site role on first shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts. _

_ · The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $141,600.00 - 212,400.00 CAD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay. _
