Job summary

Dare Foods, located in Cambridge, Ontario, is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician for night shift. The role focuses on electrical maintenance across the plant, including PLC troubleshooting and wiring, to ensure continuous production and safety in a food manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, an Ontario 442A license, and familiarity with AB FactoryTalk, Studio, and SEW drives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ontario industrial electrician trade license 442A is required.
• Desirable to have Construction and Maintenance 309A license.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs (AB FactoryTalk, Studio & SEW) and with variable speed drives.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills in a team-based environment.
• Minimize downtime and maximize production output.
• Perform electrical preventative maintenance on facility equipment.
• Ensure electrical code compliance for plant equipment (Canadian Electrical Code).
• Respond to breakdown calls and troubleshoot/repair problems promptly.
• Perform breakdown analysis to address root causes with action plans.
• Maintain safety and report unsafe conditions.
• Keep maintenance shop clean and organized.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Attend shifts including weekends and rotating schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
