Job: Plant Controller
Location: Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plant Controller to manage the financial operations of their manufacturing facility in Trois-Rivières. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and supporting plant administration. The Plant Controller will report directly to the Divisional Controller and indirectly to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and oversee weekly check run processing.
  • Handle cash posting, collections, and accounts receivable analysis.
  • Record and analyze accruals and inventory movements, including job cost reviews, PPV, and annual physical inventory.
  • Prepare and upload plant reporting packages into SAP.
  • Complete monthly tax reports and reconcile sales, bank accounts, and balance sheets.
  • Generate cost reports and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Post entries to the general ledger and reconcile accounts.
  • Oversee office management, including supplies, equipment, and janitorial services.
  • Supervise accounting assistants and office staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Profil
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7-10 years in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and French.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Experience with SAP and standard accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
