How you will contribute

You will:

  • Manage and execute aspects of finance planning and performance management processes, including strategic planning, annual forecasting, target setting, financial reporting, analysis, and modeling within a specific scope such as a region, business unit, or department. You will be responsible for data collection and verification of data integrity.
  • Ensure a robust controls and compliance environment within your scope, adhering to company policies.
  • Assist senior management and business units in preparing critical financial data and insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead projects aimed at improving efficiencies and fostering continuous improvement in processes and ways of working.
  • Contribute to a high-performing finance team, investing in personal development and supporting the growth of finance peers, with a focus on developing the local FP&A pipeline.

What you need to know about this position:

We are seeking a Plant Controller for our Canadian MSC team to influence the future of snacking. Reporting to the Director of MSC Finance and working closely with plant leadership, this role is key in unlocking business proposals, verifying assumptions, and ensuring daily operations are aligned. You will oversee all financial aspects of a complex manufacturing plant with a focus on growth and digital innovation.

How you will contribute:

  • Partner with plant management to provide financial insights and monitor the execution of strategic actions.
  • Manage financial planning, performance management, and decision support for the manufacturing plant, including strategic and operational financial activities.
  • Maintain strong controls and compliance within the plant, ensuring understanding and adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Drive harmonization, efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize ways of working.

What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • Prior experience in Plant controlling or Manufacturing Finance.
  • Technical expertise in financial planning, reporting, and analysis across plant KPIs, including strategy development, investment appraisal, and cost management.
  • Business acumen with understanding of the consumer packaged goods industry, supply chain, and manufacturing dynamics, preferably in a large regional or global corporation.
  • Leadership skills, including business partnering, influencing, and effective communication across diverse teams and senior management.
  • A growth and digital mindset, with the ability to leverage technology for operational improvements.
  • Integrity and sound judgment aligned with our values, policies, and external regulations.

Job Specific Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in CPG, with preferred experience in a plant environment.

Education / Certifications:

A Commerce Degree from a recognized university, with an MBA and/or CPA being advantageous.

Work schedule:

On-site, during regular business hours. No relocation support is available.
