Qualifications

• Strong finance and accounting foundation, including experience with Finance and Financial Statements.
• Knowledge of manufacturing-related Cost Accounting, with the ability to analyze production costs and variances.
• Experience managing Fixed Assets, including tracking, capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliation.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting financial data and preparing clear reports and recommendations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent designation is an asset.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment; budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work collaboratively with operations, leadership, and cross-functional teams.

Role Description

The Plant Controller supports decision-making by analyzing financial performance, identifying variances, and recommending actions to improve efficiency and profitability. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining fixed asset records, coordinating month-end close, supporting audits, and collaborating with operations and leadership on forecasts, capital projects, and cost-control initiatives. The role also ensures compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.
