Job summary

Veolia North America seeks an experienced Plant Manager/Contract Manager to lead the Toronto facility’s operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective performance in line with the municipal contract.

You will drive O&M excellence, manage budgets and invoicing, supervise maintenance teams, and coordinate with regional experts to safeguard asset longevity and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, or related discipline).
• 10+ years in waste treatment operations or similar.
• 10+ years in managing multi-disciplinary teams and contract management.
• Proven track record in plant maintenance strategies and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety culture and compliance with Veolia standards and regulations.
• Manage P&L and financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, accruals and cost reductions.
• Lead client communications, ensure contractual obligations and monthly invoicing are met.
• Oversee plant operations and maintenance, ensure uptime and compliance.
• Direct maintenance teams and implement long‑term asset management plans.
• Coach and develop operations supervisors and technicians, building succession planning.
