Manages financial and accounting functions for the site, ensures that accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles, and that internal policies and controls are followed.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements


A Brief Overview
Acts as the financial liaison between the accounting department and plant operations to ensure compliance with accounting, policies, procedures, requirements, and guidelines. Manages financial and accounting functions for the site, ensures that accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles, and that internal policies and controls are followed.

What You Will Do:

Responsibilities
  • Ownership of Plant P&L, inventory, annual budget, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and financial comparisons and explanations of actual results versus the financial estimates
  • Prepare and analyze material usage, cost statements, profit and loss statements, manufacturing statistics, labor analysis, and sales analysis
  • Assist with developing and implementing internal control policy and procedures
  • Trains and supports staff in a variety of areas, including policies and procedures, system functionality and inventory costing and management
  • Balance sheet analysis for key accounts, including inventory and preparation or approval for account reconciliations
  • Prepares ad hoc reports and work on special projects as requested
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual operating budget
  • Lead decision making efforts and analysis around ERP implementations and best use practices


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Accountancy required or
  • Bachelors Related Field required
  • 4+ Years Experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Applications

  • 20% Plant visits


Physical Demands
This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. This role may need to access areas within the building that are undergoing renovations which may contain jobsite hazards. Occasionally this role will required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
