Job summary

Leggett Dynamics’ Plant Accountant role focuses on leading branch accounting activities, near-term close, tax reporting, and corporate disclosures in a manufacturing setting with US GAAP compliance. Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Professional designation (CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP.
  • Proven experience leading the financial close process and issuing financial statements.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Lead branch accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, review and approval of financial statements, and ensuring proper internal controls.
  • Manage the financial close process and ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform local tax accounting and reporting, ensuring all tax-related requirements are met.
  • Complete corporate reporting requirements, both ongoing and ad hoc.
  • Maintain financial compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, including US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial data and support internal and external audits.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and report requirements as necessary.

So, what will you be doing as a Plant Accountant?

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Compensation
  • Salary is $70,000.00.

  • Up to 5% (Local/Regional)
